Bass Amp - Help!

TheSoundofBastards [Edit] [Delete] 13:31, 22 July '09

Hi, I'm currently experiencing a few probs with my bass rig, wondering if anyone could help me out..
Currently I'm using a Hartke ha3500 through a Fender BXR Spectrum cab- at band last night the sound would occasionally cut out for 10 seconds or so, then come back in. I'm wondering if this might be due to the amp overheating, it was hot to touch at the back, even though the cooling fan was working. Done a bit of 'research' on the internets, apparently sometimes the solder joints in the amps can break, particularly if they're being moved around a lot.
On the other hand the head is rated at 350W @ 4 ohms, whilst the cab is only 300W @ 4 ohms- I would have thought this would have been ok..

Anyone got any ideas?
