Pop punk

DanielKelly [Edit] [Delete] 12:31, 5 August '09

I somehow, twisting and turning through Spotify like a twisty-turny thing, ended up listening to 'Somewhere Down on Fullerton' by Allister last night and decided that pop punk music from 1998 to about 2003 is the best music in the world. It makes me remember cool nostalgic teenager stuff that I'm not even sure I ever did. I didn't even like Yellowcard but I went all swoony when 'Ocean Avenue' came on a playlist and the vocalist did his whiny little voice thing and sang "staying up all ni...iiight". Shit, even Hit The Lights mentally dragged me back to a hazy year 11/sixth form world where I could sit in the park all day with other people in three-quarter lengths and Midtown t-shirts where girls actually started to notice you, and I'm pretty sure that I'm older than everyone in Hit The Lights.

So yeah, pop punk music. Who wants to start a pop-punk night somewhere in London with me? Strictly no ironic enjoyment of the music though please.
