Over the last year I've suddenly become able to listen to chart music on the radio or even in clubs and bars, without wincing. I've now taken the step towards starting to enjoy it.

I think it's a good thing. It means that I can tolerate it when I'm with a group of people who enjoy it.

This leads me to the conclusion that chart music has drastically improved over the past 6 or 7 years.
