isn't it weird how the greatest album of this decade is a homage to a period that has long since passed? Doesn't that say something deep and complex about the artistic endeavours of the new millenium?

The fact that they are the most respected musical act of our times shows that perhaps all is not lost in this world... Perhaps mankind can be saved by the power of disinterested nerd vocals and synth vamping. Is that not a beautiful thing?
