has anyone read 'like a rolling stone' by greil marcus?

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 16:55, 14 September '09

i bought in america, mostly owing to money constraints and it being the cheapest thing i could find that might be half decent...

well..........

it is hands down, the worst music book i've ever read.

staggeringly bad. i actually couldn't finish it because it annoyed me so much.

for s start....it's the most grating prose style imaginable....everything's either a soggy and bloated similie or a winding convoluted sentence that utilises so much intermitant punctuation between the initial declaration and the eventually arriving finish, that you have to go back to the start to see what he was talking about in the first place.

anyone else had the displeasure?
