single vs album releases?

bennito_girl [Edit] [Delete] 11:41, 17 September '09

Morning morning!

Having been spinning various plates for the last 6 months planning, researching and beginning to implement a diy release, Ive just come across the various posts on ere about the merits of digital vs physical releases.

We've been working our socks off recording, mixing, designing artwork, building websites and Im now firmly strapped in trying to plan the release, sort our online pr and fingers crossed get to launch it!

And also wondering how many nights we will all have to spend on the Bristol dockside selling our wares of a night to fund all of this!!

Soooo we will have an album as the finished product BUT Ive been considering whether to have a limited edition single release first and see how we get on and then do the album??

We have a signed artist who is going to do a remix for us and I wonder whether we may be best to do a single & remix first??

As you can probably tell this is new and scary - if also very exciting - ground for me and any thoughts would be really freaking appreciated!
