Greatest album 'bookends'

ashstreath85 [Edit] [Delete] 22:12, 5 October '09

Has it been done before? Probably, but what are the greatest complementary opening and closing album tracks of all time?

I ask because another thread got me thinking about The Cure's 'Disintegration', and one of the many things that stand out about it are Plainsong and Untitled.

The opener is totally majestic, what with all those chimes and synths, whilst the closer is totally broken, sad and windswept. Just gives you the feeling of being on a complete journey that totally makes sense.

Any others?
