Can someone verify how big these bands were for me please?

SCROTUM [Edit] [Delete] 14:56, 25 October '09

There's a blank spot in my musical knowledge around 2002-4 where a lot of names get knocked about but I have no idea of how successful many of these acts were. They headlined NME tours or played high-ish on festival bills, but its thus far eluded me if they were big. I know a lot of them had media support/interest dropped after the new wave of artsy indie types came through in 2004, but there isn't enough on wikipedia/elsewhere to properly give me an idea of how big they got, and why they almost without exception went as quickly as they came. Yeah:

BRMC, Von Bondies, Polyphonic Spree, 22-20s, The Datsuns, Hell Is For Heroes, The Thrills, Cooper Temple Clause, Starsailor, The Music, The Donnas, The Sleepy Jackson and The Glitterati.

Ta,
