seeing them on Friday made me thing...it was good and all, but i do wish they'd gone further down the Murray Street route instead of tightening things up the past few albums into more of a 3 minute pop format.

they always had the odd track that was a bit like this - Washing Machine, Diamond Sea - but Murray Street was more harmonic. i like the length and the textures and the bursts of noise...the SYR releases don't really have the same feel either. one obvious thing would be the song Marquee Moon by Television. does anyone know of anything else that's similar?
