Now that the whole 'Jake in a Box' Complete EMI recordings are up on Spotify (actually, they've been up for a while) I've been listening to more and more of his stuff. It's genuinely brilliant.

In terms of range of songwriting I honestly don't think he's been bettered. Some of the humour has dated but for the most part it's pretty sharp. And some of the more 'pastoral' songs like Country Girl are perfect.

Anyway, WHO LIKES JAKE THACKRAY? TELL ME WHY. TELL ME INTERESTING STUFFF I DON'T KNOW.
