2 heads are better than 3 as the all-girl garage punk rockers return to Reading for the first time as a duo. They’ve had a busy year - touring the US, Europe and the UK and played the Artrocker stage at the Great Escape festival.

Their energetic music is full of primal rhythms, cutting guitars and dual lead vocals conjuring a sound that has attracted the attention of NME, an Artrocker ‘New Blood’ feature and airplay on 6 Music and Steve Lamacq’s Radio 1 show. The band will be playing new material of their recently released album ‘The city is full of beasts’.

Brighton based 4 or 5 Magicians play concise, summery slices of indie-rock reminiscent of Pavement with a Steve Albini-style production edge.

They've toured with Los Campesinos and Johnny Foreigner, recorded a live session for Huw Stephens and released their debut album 'Empty, Derivative Pop Songs' on Smalltown America Records.
