are youtube slideshows lame? or are they a good tool on a budget?

fakespaniard [Edit] [Delete] 17:08, 24 November '09

I generally just skip slideshow videos on youtube but have recently had to do some myself - its relatively easy to do but - as someone who skips them myself am worried that they can seem to be little more that a vanity roll of 'look how cool/crazy we are' set to music which can be MIND MELTINGLY boring - but i also think that in a democratic digital age it is very useful to make one - if we accept that every band has to be on AT LEAST myspace & Youtube it allows bands who are absolutely broke (like us, and most others) to have a presence on a site where previously we never would have got near - the technology is free and immediately you have boosted your potential audience. or do they suck and look tacky. or are they allowing a whole new generation of bands exposure. or. argg. a bit conflicted about this. ours are here btw www.myspace.com/thedissociates
