music without drugs

horrorbiz [Edit] [Delete] 03:49, 25 November '09

ok, to start, i want to distant myself from any pretense that might occur in the next paragraph. I'm not trying to sound cool. If at any point you suspect ulterior motives of me, please point it out and make fun of me. I used to wear a backwards red cap in year 7 because I wanted to be Fred Durst. Use that.

Now to my actual query. I was just having a conversation at the pub with a good friend. We've in the past and/or present, done things to alter our state of consciousness. As a result we've become massive cliches. Our music collection vouches for this.

I think we were talking about space ritual when it passed our minds that some people might listen to hawkwind sober. and perplexed we were. That got us onto pondering the vast amount of music we liked commonly associated with drugs. Stoner metal. Drum n bass. Krautrock. You get the picture. Or do you...

so basically, if you're a person that likes drug music but doesn't do drugs, in a non imposing way, please enlighten me as to what it is you connect with it. I can totally see your point, I love the idiot but i've never done heroin.
