The Soft Bulletin tracklisting

SCROTUM [Edit] [Delete] 15:02, 28 November '09

While perusing wikipedia, I noticed that almost every release of The Soft Bulletin has altered the tracklisting. The one I have is the original UK release, but the US release puts Buggin' about 1/3 through the album and swaps the Race For The Prizes. The original vinyl release appears to end on the magnificent Disintegrate-Sleeping one-two as well.

Having really got stuck into it this month proper, I've liked how after it gets all reflective and mellow it suddenly springs back into life with the, to my mind, better and more uplifting version of Race, before ending on Buggin, which leaves things on such good terms.

Has there ever been any word as to what is the definitive way the album should flow? I wouldn't imagine it would add/detract too much as it's so brilliant anyway, but maybe some people experience it totally differently?
