I invite you to imagine yourself cast away on a desert island, and to choose eight pieces of music to take with you. Please feel free to discuss the peices and why there are important to you. Then, choose the one piece you regard most highly of the eight.

Also, choose a book to take with you; you are automatically given the Complete Works of Shakespeare and either the Bible or another appropriate religious or philosophical work of your choice.

Finally, choose one luxury, which must be inanimate and of no use in escaping the island or allowing communication from outside.
