Nickel Back's new Album

allabouitrock [Edit] [Delete] 06:32, 15 December '09

The famous Canadian band has been in all music related articles lately after a recent review made by Billboard. The Top in 2009 list includes artists such as Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, The Black Eyed Peas, and of course Nickelback. Only two albums released in the years between 2005 and 2009 managed to get in the Top 20 of the 2000s’ bestsellers and one of them is Nickelback’s All the Right Reasons. For Number One song of the 2000s was named also a Nickelback song, “How You Remind Me,” their greatest hit up to now.
In the same time British readers were quite unkind and put the Vancouver-based rock band on top of another list – of the worst bands in the world. Other bands disliked by the majority of Word Magazine readers include Lighthouse Family, M People, The Troggs, Maroon 5, Savage Garden, and Irish band Snow Patrol.
That doesn’t bother the Grammy-nominated Canadian rock band. Nickelback has sold more than 30 million records worldwide and is estimated to be the second best selling foreign act in the US behind the Beatles for the 2000s.
But they have used their money generously. Just recently Nickelback donated more than half a million dollars to a new charitable organization. Obakki Foundation, created by the wife of Nickelback’s guitarist Ryan Peake, tries to improve life for children in Africa. The band decided to give $1 from every concert ticket sold on their last tour away and in this way to make a difference for poor and orphaned children in Cameroon.
The latest single Nickelback released is "Never Gonna Be Alone" and it is conquering musical charts all over the world. The single is a part of the band’s “Dark Horse” album.
Looking back to 1995 when Nickelback was founded, Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger, and Daniel Adair can only be proud of their achievements and keep up the good work. The band is currently promoting their latest album, “Dark Horse,” so if you have the opportunity to see them live, don’t miss the chance and get Nickelback tickets immediately!
