Why can I think of barely any "indie" songs of the last few years with ridiculously catchy and memorable riffs that pretty much everyone knows?
Have there not been many other than MGMT's "Kids"?*
By "everyone" I mean casual listeners, commercial radio listeners and suchlike. Genuinely mainstream things. I also mean "indie" in the most mainstream sense of the word.
