The solo work of Steven Patrick Morrissey

sister-ray [Edit] [Delete] 19:03, 6 January '10

What do the DiSers make of Moz' solo career?

There are a few patch records but I think some of his solo stuff is up there with anything by his previous band.

Particularly I think Vauxhall and I to be a masterpiece, songs like Speedway and Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself stand up to any songs.

His new stuff is quite curious, although not as good as his older stuff, neither are they without any merit. His past three solo records contain some of his most popular and accessable work i.e. First of the Gang to Die. You Have Killed Me and so on.

His new collection of B-Sides again contains some absolutely cracking tunes, replete with some of his funniest, most honest and touching lyrics for a while.

What do y'all think of Steg without Johnny?
