'Roslyn' by Bon Iver & St. Vincent
Deviating slightly from this week's all-female theme, this track from the New Moon (Twilight) soundtrack has been on repeat at my house for the past few months. St. Vincent made one of my albums of 2009 and I liked the Bon Iver's 'Blood Bank' ep much more than 'For Emma...' and this song somehow pulls all the best bits of these things together into an enchanting fireside song. Annie Clark's vocal is as slight as blossom, whilst Justin's vocal pulls fore but shadowed by her breathy whisper. It's one of the most intoxicating songs of last year and a song that I don't think was really highlighted as much as it should've been.
