This morning I picked up the new These New Puritans and Eels albums. Listened to TNP in the car on the drive to work and really wanted to keep driving, still a few songs left to listen to but have been completely blown away by it. It's early I know but I can see this featuring highly in many end of year lists! Sounds unlike anything out there right now!

The Eels are one of the most consistent bands in my opinion and the new album is without doubt one of the strongest since Mr E's..... I'm not sure of any other artists that pour as much heart and soul into albums from start to finish as he does. Strangely uplifting and compulsive listening!

It's going to be a great year for new music/new albums etc and these two are the highlights of the first few weeks on 2010!

I'm looking forward to Fout Tets new one next week and Midlakes soon to be released return..
