Can you predict the sort of review an album will recieve by comparing the outcome of previous releases in relation to other review sites?

Violator [Edit] [Delete] 14:45, 1 March '10

Basically what I'm saying is, does anyone else think you can make a rough guess as to how well an album will do by looking at how other albums tend to do on that sight and then checking that against other sights?

For example (and I don't actually agree with this - it's just an illustration), "DiS tend to give two points lower than pitchfork and four points lower than NME". using this, you could check what NME and Pitchfork give an album and then make a prediction. You could even see if the idea gives consistently accurate(ish) results.

Moreover, does anyone have a 'formula' which they'd like to put to the test? I'd like to see if it works.
