MP3 players, and where to go to fill 'em

65daysofclaridge [Edit] [Delete] 15:23, 6 April '10

So my MP3 player finally copped it this weekend - after five years of loyal service, I dropped it out of my coat pocket and it's now ceased working.

I've been thinking of upgrading for a while now, but am shamefully ignorant about new technologies. It is (or was...) a Creative Zen Sleek Photo, and though it wasn't without it's problems, it did for me.

I'd appreciate it if people could tell me what they think the best MP3 players out there right now are, what's value for money etc. I'd also like to know where people get their music from to upload to their players - I'd been using Napster (remember them?!) when living with my parents, but you effectively rent the music and I think I'd rather just buy.

So...thoughts? I'm assuming people mostly use iPlayers/iTunes, and while I can see the merit, I'm not totally convinced.
