Not-so-hot-anymore labels

artimusmaximus [Edit] [Delete] 16:52, 4 May '10

Some labels just aren't doing it like they used to. We all know the good, consistent ones (Merge, Sectetly Canadian, Sincerely Yours, Domino is almost a seal of approval) but who's falling off, even slightly? I'd say:

Saddle Creek: Check.

Vice: Bloc Party put out one hell of a debut w/ them then went to Atlantic, right? And The Stills are on Arts & Crafs. Is Mike Skinner still even doing anything? And what happened to Sons & Daughters?

Modular: Not long ago it was The Presets, Van She, Bang Gang Deejays, Cut Copy, etc., all putting out hot s---. Midnight Juggernauts got new material but they were an Aussie band not down w/ Modular.
