Dot to Dot - Verdict

chris_armo [Edit] [Delete] 12:57, 1 June '10

Went to yesterday's Manchester event and, all in all, was (just about) worth the money.

In the vein of the ATP threads, share your highs / lows / misc. observations.

HIGHS

Small Black (that keyboard player sure is a looker)
Washed Out (should've been on later)
Goldheart Assembly (in places)
Peggy Sue (brilliant live, average on record)
The Ruby Suns (although the new stuff didn't sound great live)
Beach House (Victoria Legrand's voice gives me goosebumps)
Wild Beasts (patchy sound)

LOWS

The Answering Machine (yawn)
Chapel Club (this year's White Lies / Editors / takeyourpick)
Mystery Jets (sadly seemed like they were going through the motions)
Missing all of the FAC251 line-up (Wolf Gang, Lonelady, Casiokids etc) due to lethargy and clashes

OTHER

Make it 18+ next year (sorry kids)
TOOOOO HOT
Too many gaps meant a lot of people piling into Liars/Beach House and talking through the sets

Yours?
