Anybody listened to Suckers' album Wild Smile?

Coja [Edit] [Delete] 23:49, 17 June '10

It's pretty much everything Yeasayer's Odd Blood should have been and wasn't. You can hear both Bowie and Alec Ounsworth (of CYHSY) in the vocalists delivery, which might not be to everybody's taste but I like it. Some of their older material reminded me of The Walkmen, as they matched skeletal, scratchy guitars with some brass embellishments: http://www.hypem.com/#/search/suckers%20water/1/
But the album is warmer, bouncier and tends toward the orgiastic. Head over to their myspace for a listen. You shan't be disappointed (probably): http://www.myspace.com/suckers

I'll definitely be buying this when I've got the dinero.
