Anyone else go to Hop Farm Festival this weekend?

stanstubbs [Edit] [Delete] 11:22, 5 July '10

Any thoughts?
Bob Dylan was phenomenal - great setlist, loads of energy, band were on top form & he played guitar, woop...
Ray Davies played some wonderful songs in an embarrassing fashion. Mumford & Sons were dull. Seasick Steve was Seasick Steve. Missed Pete Doherty & Laura Marling, gah.
Organisation of the event was dreadful - the field was rammed, half-hour queues for toilets, half-hour queues for food, all stalls ran out of cold drinks except the ice-cream vans (hour-long queues for those), main stage far too quiet, fairground rides in the middle of the field so most of the bands were drowned out by screaming, and colossal queues to leave afterwards (we managed to find a 'short cut')... Yuk.
All very well running a sponsorship-free festival, but I'd happily swap a few Carling billboards for more loos & some taps.
