Transient Constellations Presents:

CHORA
www.myspace.com/chora

Around the turn of the century Chora’s trajectory to their astral plane became clear in Sheffield where, along with emerging kindred spirits, they represented a fresh triangulation of the northern free music family. Never wearing this Vibracathedral/Sunroof! influence on their sleeves, Chora have morphed from the premeditated electronic attacks of their early releases to the mushy tonal ur-states reached on their first European tour. Now residing in Peckham they have begun to work predominantly as a duo of Ben Morris and Rob Lye, but also in collaboration with: Pascal Nichols, Patrick Farmer, Kelly Jones and members of Helhesten & The Hunter Gracchus. Follow the rise and fall of their kaleidoscopic drone mantras that move through skeletal extended percussive techniques, wormhole found-sound manipulation, kitchen sink gamelan, and elephantine vocal swoops.

VULTURES QUARTET
www.myspace.com/justvultures

Vultures Quartet is an improvising and new music group from London, England; consisting of Daniel Beattie, Matt Chilton, Will Connor and Anthony Donovan. Working across the fields of music, visual art and film, its members take influence from industrial, post-rock, free-jazz, avant-classical and noise, to create a new hybrid that seems somehow to be organically formed. Vultures Quartet has a fearsome live reputation; both in its own right and in collaboration with the likes of Steve Beresford, Damo Suzuki, Dom Lash, Z'ev, PAS, Sandeep Mishra and Ampersand. A recent tour of the UK and Europe included support to Faust, Nurse with Wound, John Butcher, Adam Bohman, Phil Waschmann, Blistrap and Fullborn Taversham.

SLOPPY SECONDS
www.myspace.com/sloppysecondsbanned

Sloppy Seconds are a pair of non-dimensional time rabbits who strive to disolve notions of time and space through a 'sonic smudge' of intense noise coupled with visceral performance rituals. Named 1.7 and 5.2, these two rabbits deal with ideas of serialisation, subjectivity, shamanism, and quantum ontology, with a focus on creating a conflict and resolution within individual audience members regarding everything they believe to be true. Individual appearences are always different in form, but this simple thread of destoying time and space is present in all of their performances. Actions to date have included the smashing of clocks, the folding of paper, the defacing of maps etc. etc.
