Tomorrow in a Year, the Barbican

silks [Edit] [Delete] 01:40, 5 August '10

haven't seen a thread about this yet. Did anyone go?? I went and have to say i thought it was really lame. Mainly for these reasons:

The Knife weren't there, and therefore not in anyway involved in the performance
The woman who replaced Fever Ray on vocals was fucking TERRIBLE, and amazingly couldn't hit a single note
I realised i didn't like operatic singing roughly a minute into the first song
It sort of seemed like up-market Karaoke, given that there was no live music at all

Positives:

The visuals were quite impressive, as were the dancers
It was fairly short

Am i being overly cynical here? i just thought the promo for the event was very misleading, and as a result probably enjoyed the performance a lot less than if i'd known before that they weren't going to be involved.
