Why i'm not trolling

wallsofjericho38993 [Edit] [Delete] 00:20, 7 August '10

It amuses me so much to see the reaction to my Eminem post in which all I wanted to do was say I had an emotional connection to a music album - something I've not had for years and I suspect many of you haven't too with the crap that passes for music these days.. maybe I worded it wrongly and it came across as pretentious - but nontheless it was supposed to be a legitimate post

I'm posting this as a separate thread because I can't be arsed replying with the same bullshit to every "omg caught him, omg i did it" pathetic post. Is that what you get your kicks off? Yes, it is - I know because i was once like you. If you look back at the history of this forum, there were the people like me - dubbed "trolls", and then your John Brainloves, Marco Fellas - the older generation in their 40's who tried so hard to cleanse the forum of the youth

Well now I am an older, righteous man, and all I can see in the younger users here is angst, cynicism and desperation. The answer to your problems isn't to mock and be cruel - but to find what the root of the problem is. I can tell you what that is if you are open to ideas and not so closed-minded as it seems most of you are.

Again, this isn't trolling, but a mature person who is bored and drinking a few beers to himself and is revisiting past memories as of late.. because personally, I had an impending sense of doom (which I guess is one of the few perils of being jewish) - but the Eminem album relaxed my rare anxious state

Growing up Eminem was always one of, if not my favourite music artists - I always felt a connection to him as a fellow white, budding scribe. Yeah, 8 mile was my one of my favourite movies growing up - ok its not Lawrence of Arabia, but what kind of 15 year old enjoys 4 hour biopics?

The last Eminem album was crap, as he even acknowledges on his own album - so to hear an album like this, on today of all days (a bad day for me personally) was an emotional release and an unexpected surprise - with apropos a return to my youth, on a day i was thinking of memories past.. i didn't even know this album was out because I don't keep up with the latest music news, and the only reason I saw it was because I clicked around on Youtube and came across his new single

Slander me all you want, i can see the cynics amongst you salivating over your keyboards prepared to type the 5 holy letters in - t r o l l and hit return - but before you do just consider the fact that not everyone is like you, there is a world out there amongst the filth you dwell in - some of us have seen hashem and believe in him - change isn't impossible
