Help Fill My Friend's iPod

oceanRain [Edit] [Delete] 18:34, 10 August '10

You know how we periodically have the "you're on a desert island" thread? Actually, that's my situation: my buddy moved to Bali 6 six years (asian girls, cheap booze and drugs...you know what I'm saying...he's a lost soul) and now he's homesick for music.

So I'm making him an iPod of all his old fav's (70-80's punk: Iggy, Damned, Stiff Little Fingers, etc) but I imagine I'll have space to bring him up to speed. So, like, I'm gonna throw on Loveless, Crooked Rain, Source Tags and Codes, probably something like Japandroids... anyhow what are the uptempo essential listening classics for a self-imposed exile in Bali?

I'm gonna throw a couple Bowie records on there. But picking just 2 pains me. What do you think about Aladdin Sane and Low?

Also: I downloaded a lot of his CDs on my computer. And, shit, they're like 550 MB each. So should I put all his Damned records on there? Or only put maybe 3 and save the space and give him way more music? (I'd want way more music, eh.) I'm inclined to skip putting the Weirdos on there when I can slip 7 of my records in its place. What do you think?
