So, the month is nearly done and I can't decide if it has been a great or merely good or possibly a somewhat average month for releases. Still not heard the Arcade Fire album and mostly been listening to Scott Pilgrim, Freelance Whales and older stuff.

Gigs have been good tho, I saw an incredibly set by Deftones in Ventura and then Summer Sundae last weekend was something else. I know I booked the line-up for the DiS stage but some of the bands excelled beyond what I'd seen them do before, especially The Futureheads who seem to have turned into one of the most ferocious live forces and make all their songs turn into these skull-buggering hypnotic trances where you know the words to every single chorus before the second chorus is over, even if you've never heard the song before! Also TOO EXCITED about the prospect of Reading this weekend...

What did you love this month and what you looking forward to in September? September is EVERY BAND DIS LOVES RELEASING AN ALBUM THE SAME WEEK craziness. Can't wait. Especially for Les Savy Fav, Interpol, The Walkman and No Age!
