US based/unscrupulous DiSers - Tell me about Black Milk's Album of the Year

lemonbrickcombo [Edit] [Delete] 20:39, 15 September '10

Can't seem to be able to get hold of it over here, Pitchfork gave it a 7.5 though which is promising if not suggesting greatness (http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/14619-album-of-the-year/)

CMG seems to agree, you get the feeling the only reason it tallied in the 80s was because of the warm afterglow they've got over Tronic... (
(http://www.cokemachineglow.com/record_review/5641/blackmilk-aoty-2010)

I'm a massive fan of Tronic, one of the best albums I've heard in the past few years in terms of production, but all things point towards this being a rather staid followup despite the tracks I've heard so far (namely Welcome and How Dare You) being great. Kinda was hoping he might have upped things a bit.

Almost tempted to get an mp3 copy from iTunes but I'd rather have a proper copy or some mp3s of higher quality y'know.
