The new Drudkh album, 'Handful Of Stars', has the best bass lines I've ever heard in Black Metal

ContentToPlayVillain [Edit] [Delete] 00:18, 29 September '10

Though the guitars and drums and so on are great too. And Black Metal isn't really known for notable or even audible bass lines. But 'Handful Of Stars' has a really great post-punk edge to it, with the sinuous, melodic bass parts playing a key part in that sound, while still maintaining the mix of complexity and hypnotic repetition that defines Drudkh's albums. People who've liked recent shoegaze-metal overlap stuff, as well as stuff like the recent Alcest and Amesouers albums, should check it out.
