Has there been a thread about Tima Formosa yet??? (Oren Ambarchi / Jim O'Rourke / Keiji Haino on VOCAL PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR)

If you're looking for something a bit left-of-centre you could do a lot worse than this, it's going to be up there in my album of the year contention and I don't normally go for the more 'improv' end of 'experimental music' (whether it's genuinely improvised or not is certainly open to question).

Anyway, basically, Haino who you'd normally think of as a guitarist delivers some stunning wordless vocals. He starts off some utterances with pure clear choirboy tones which then descend into grating rasping screams. IN other words he goes from Sigur Ros to Khanate without drawing breath. IMpressive stuff.

St. Cronin at least should be all over this.
