Music Social More…

Another question for the forum re. the price of music: SECOND-HAND RECORDS/CDs etc

marckee [Edit] [Delete] 15:17, 9 November '10

(probably been discussed on here before):

- If you buy (or sell) second hand records, are you depriving the artist/label of a sale, and therefore money?
- If you buy (or sell) second hand records from an independent shop, are you supporting independent shops and the culture that they foster, or are you undermining other independent shops by depriving them of a full-price sale?
- If you buy using a peer to peer network, are you helping to keep a fellow music lover in the capital that they need to continue buying new records?
- Do you think that the re-sale market encourages people to view music as a commodity, and as something from which a profit can be made?

This is a genuine question, open to the floor. DiScuss!
