Hi, I'm writing a short article on auto-tune in modern music. Not the slight-touching-up-here-and-there sort, mind - rather the influx of popular music to embrace the technology openly and overtly, treating vocal parts to generous helpings of the pristine, mechanized effect of the plug-in.

I was hoping to enlist some of you folk to help me work out to what extent the trend is spilling out of mainstream R'n'B / pop and into different and, for lack of a better term, more "credible" areas of music. Bon Iver found good use for it on "Woods", Imogen Heap is an obvious example and vocoders will pop up intermittently when listening to Mogwai. Any more?
