Vocals with a brilliant sense of rhythm

19948 [Edit] [Delete] 12:06, 29 December '10

I think singers that can have syllables that are drawn out and intertwine with the music (not just call or response or following the instruments directly) are just much better than listening to people singing that just sounds like enthusiastic talking instead of using their lungs properly

For me the change in rhythm on apartment story releases the tension in that song brilliantly
Bjork also does this brilliantly, and not just because of medulla
Neutral Milk Hotel is also brilliant at this, but maybe that’s more the poetry of the pieces
