Music Social More…

Buying directly from bands (Bandcamp etc)

Interesting piece on the LA Times site about Bandcamp http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2011/01/bandcamp-is-a-diy-site-for-musicians.html

Was wondering, how much music do you buy direct from bands / small labels? I've found myself buying more stuff via Bandcamp as its so easy to use and the pay-what-you-want element makes me feel bad if I put a zero in there after streaming it and liking it. I like the immediacy of it, that someone can upload something and it's onsale, rather than waiting for digital distributors and iTunes to sort their act out. I also like that I can stream things in full.

The biggest problem I have with Bandcamp is that you can't really browse it and flick through it but then I've not really found any online experiences that rival wandering around a store (and even that is slightly flawed)

Any bands here want to share anything they've found from your experience selling via Bandcamp and other services? Any other services people like?
