Justin Townes Earle - any love for the new record and upcoming UK tour?

basil [Edit] [Delete] 14:04, 5 January '11

I'm very excited about seeing him in Sheffield next week. I don't think there's anyone else around at the moment, of his age anyway, doing traditional American folk and country so well. His latest record is fantastic - gospel-blues, Springsteeny balladry, Sun Records rnb. He even pulls off a genuine labor song, Workin' For The MTA, that sounds like it was recorded by Alan Lomax on a fieldtrip in the 50s.

Anyways, I thought he would be more popular in DiSworld than he appears to be...
