The big decision - CD or MP3?

shinymcshine [Edit] [Delete] 16:04, 9 January '11

I have realised that I don't really listen to CDs anymore. I buy them, rip them to my laptop and iPod, and then put them away in a cupboard.

I've ran out of space to keep them in the living room and the storage cupboard where I store the run-off is getting very full. When I stick on music at home I usually just connect my laptop or ipod to the stereo and in the car I use the iPod too.

This has been the situation for a while but I've kept on buying CDs as I like having the physical thing and probably for nostalgic reasons too. Now though the physical object is more of a nuisance than a bonus. Am I clinging on for no reason? Do I fear that if I start buying legal MP3's more and more illegal ones will sneak in to my collection too?

Help me decide. CDs or no CDs?
