Great Undiscovered "Pop" Albums

wonton [Edit] [Delete] 22:07, 11 January '11

The early descriptions of the new Iron and Wine album have focused on an "early 70s radio" sound, depicting "Kiss Each Other Clean" as a classic pop album from another era. This got me thinking; how many other albums are there around which haven't reached a wide audience yet are full of songs perfect for radio. I don't see this thread as another excuse to out-obscure each other, just name the one album that you think would probably out-sell the Kings of Leon/Tinie Tempah's of this world, if it was just given the chance.

For me, In Ghost Colours by Cut Copy, or maybe Spoon's Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga for a slightly less derivative example.
