New albums- 'The Soft Moon' and 'Minks'

malick [Edit] [Delete] 00:58, 21 January '11

Spotted these two reviews on Pitchfork, got high marks, gave them a listen....good stuff.

The Soft Moon is gothic, Joy Divison/Bauhaus/Cold Cave-alike, but it has it's own qualities. Really catchy, hypnotic and percussion driven.

Minks are shoegazey/90's alt pop. You can definitely hear some influences in there, like MBV and Yo La Tengo, but basically they've got some good songs and it's worth a listen.

Well done Pitchfork, you old cad. Anybody heard these?
