The Sun's music section on Friday

toffeedaz [Edit] [Delete] 14:31, 20 May '11

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not an avid fan of The Sun.
However, even I have to admit they're music section on friday is quite good for a tabloid and I often find myself having a peak a it on my lunch break.

Today, for example, includes exclusive interviews with Suede and Friendly Fires, and mini reviews of albums from the likes of Thurston Moore and Planningtorock amongst others.

Recently they've covered articles on These New Puritans and the reissuing of Pink Floyd's back catalogue.

Ok, it's all a bit NME, but I think that a tabloid has to be given credit for devoting 4 or 5 pages evey week to decent music instead of usual nonsense like Jessie J, Lady Gaga et al.

Incidentally, as I get most of my news from the net and tv, I was was wondering what is other newspaper coverage of music like these days?
