When band play at venues you never thought they could fill

KillingMoon [Edit] [Delete] 00:02, 1 June '11

Following on from the disbelief that White Lies are playing Wembley Arena, what other instances can you think of when bands were playing places you thought were far too big for them.

I was very suprised to see The Wombats playing the Glasgow O2 Academy recently. They've been away for 4 years! I thought they would be in King Tuts or something.

Also, Suede playing the O2 Arena last year seemed wildly ambitious. By all accounts though, they got away with it.
