I don't listen to Radio 1. Intentionally. Occasionally (and by occasionally, I mean rarely) I may listen to Worldwide or Zane Lowe. But as a rule. I don't listen to Radio 1.

But now I have a job. A daytime job. 9-5, well until the day after tomorrow, when I'm being made redundant, but this isn't the Social Board and I'm not looking for sympathy.

At my workplace they play Radio 1. All day. Everyday. Daytime radio. With Moylesy. And Fearne Cotton. And Greg James. And Scott Mills. Now - I'm not saying anything new here, but in the past 8 years of my life that I have not been spending listening to Radio 1, the station has not changed - at all!?

Today they played the same ten songs in a continuous loop (the new Wanted one, the new RHCP one, one that sounds like Cascada, some other BS) and used the same jokes that they were using when I was listening to it when I was 13.

The other day they had a Scouting For Girls live lounge where they covered a cover of that famous Bon Iver song. Wow.
