Bauer Shoots The Breeze Vol. #1 - Gig Etiquette

Blackjack_Bauer [Edit] [Delete] 17:43, 20 July '11

'People don't dance no more
They just stand there like this
They cross their arms and stare you down
and drink and moan and piss'

Seems these days gigs (at least the ones I've been to) aren't the place for dancing, or really moving at all. If you want that sort of thing, go out on a club night. Gigs are for standing still, nodding your head, and /watching/ the artist perform.

I prefer to dance etc. But I risk a) bumping into people and stuff or b) looking and feeling a fool as I dance alone surrounded by people stood still.

Do you feel the same? Do you prefer it this way? Am I just going to the wrong gigs?

Was anyone else at Vivian Girls/TV on the Radio/Tom Vek/Tame Impala in Manchester this past month or so? If so, you probably know who I am.
