For work-ish reasons I'm trying to put together a list of good blogs or sites from around the UK - so not so much those based in London, but people writing with a focus on their local music scenes.

The only thing I can think of as a good example of what I'm after is Oxford's Nightshift - http://nightshift.oxfordmusic.net/ - the site itself isn't that amazing design-wise, but the magazine is some of the best local music journalism I've ever seen.

Are there equivalents in other towns?

ALSO: What towns and cities do you think of as having particularly good music scenes? In my limited experience I'd say Glasgow, Brighton and Manchester are thought of as being among the strongest.
