The Mercury scene from the film Sunshine (ace film, for anyone who hasn't seen it). I wish this scene was 10 minutes longer, so awesome is the music. I've found myself coming back to listen to it at least once a day since I saw it a few weeks ago.

The closest I can think of is some of the quieter bits of Godspeed/Silver Mt Zion, Explosions In The Sky and other post-rocky stuff, but that stuff can get a bit intense in comparison.

I want more chilled awesomeness. Nice, warm, shimmering guitars, ambient noises. The sound of pure peacefulness. I want to lie down and listen to it in the dark with headphones on and drift off thinking about the universe and my place in it.

What a hippy.
