Can anyone recommend some good sites / books for this?

I've got a macbook and a Line 6 UX2* for recording guitars / vocals.

I basically want to be able to record some decent home demos - I'm not expecting them to be amazing, but I'd like them to sound half decent.

*I know this won't be as good as mics and amps, but the guitar tones that you can get out of it a pretty good. So no elitist quips about it are necessary.
