Roy Montgomery is brilliant
Just been listening to the two albums on spotify.
The first album sounds like it's beaten Grouper, Mark McGuire, et al. to the punch by 10 years. Eastern inflected guitar drones, gorgeous noise and hypnotic grooves.
Then the later album, with vocals, reminds me of Tindersticks and Galaxie 500. One of those artists you hear for the first time and think 'YES!'
